Amazon MP3 Service Goes Internationally
Amazon is heating up the competition with iTunes by announcing a new international MP3 downloading service that will be available somewhere this year. The new service will be offering MP3 DRM-Free songs from Amazon’s digital music catalog that includes more than 3.3 million tracks, due to a strong partnership with all major music studios, such as Sony BMG, Warner, Universal and EMI. This service will enable global consumers to purchase MP3 format songs, encoded with 256Kpbs, for a competitive price and without the iTunes’ limiting DRM protection.
