Hauppauge To Introduce a New HD-PVR Box With High Definition Recorder
This new HD-PVR device from Hauppauge showed up yesterday in some forums, and apparently suppose to go live today. We are talking about the world’s first high-definition AV recorder with a real-time H.264 compression at video resolutions up to 1080i, from a component video (YCrCb) source. It has a built-in IR blaster to automatically change TV channels for scheduled recording, IR receiver for remote control, noise reduction function, high quality TV recordings with H.264 high definition encoder and even a Blu-ray format recording support, to burn your TV recordings onto a standard DVD disk and playback on Blu-ray DVD players. Equipped with Dual core CPU processor and 256MB memory, the new Hauppauge HD-PVR houses an SPDIF Optical audio output, Component video, Composite, S-Video, Left/ Right RCA audio, USB2.0 connection and more. In addition, it is compatible with NTSC, PAL or SECAM broadcasting standards and enables AAC or Dolby Digital audio recordings. All in all, this impressive box should open the door for a new era of high-definition TV recordings and viewing for the small price of $250.
