Turning back, at the beginning of June, Asus has officially introduced its latest Intel Atom-based ultra mini Eee PC laptops, including the Eee PC 901, 1000 and 1000H models. Now we hear unofficial rumors, claiming that US pricing has been revealed and they are not going to come cheap. According to the Asus PR source, the Eee PC 901 will cost you $599 for both Linux and Windows XP versions, as the Eee PC 1000 and 1000H models will be offered for $699 and $649 respectively. Mind you, that all prices are “estimated and subject to change”, specially when MSI Wind comes in at $499 for the Windows XP version or $399 for the Linux and the Acer Aspire one at $400. And we say - long live the competition.
