For many of us, OCZ is a well known company within the memory and USB storage products, but the netbook market is too attractive for players like OCZ Technology to seat aside without taking any action. That is why the company has unveiled its first netbook device, which answers the name Neutrino and is expected to land in US shores somewhere around May. The new version will be offered in two flavors, as the first one will target high-end buyers with a 10.1-inch 1,024 x 600 display, together with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 1.3MP webcam, 2 USB ports, WiFi connection, a 4-cell battery, a 945GSE chipset and either Ubuntu or WinXP onboard, while the second one will offer a full customized laptop at your choice. Naturally, it’s still early to learn how much will they cost, but official representatives promise competitive prices, so stay tuned for more to come.
Update1: March 31st 2009 – The Neutrino just got official with the same specs we’ve been telling you earlier. It should be available through distributors for the competitive price of $269.
Update2: The guys at ExtremeTech have taken the Neutrino for a ride, configured with 2GB of RAM, a 60GB SSD, and Windows XP flavored, which proved to work flawlessly and justified the $269 starting price.

We’re kind of expecting Nvidia to blow away with some new striking cards after AMD-ATI had released the ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphic card. Although nothing is official yet, Albatron was kind enough to present the new GeForce 9800 GX2 at CeBIT 2008, so you can get a glimpse without the specs, price or availability, but don’t hold your breath to long, as we hear the launch date is somewhere later this month.
