Tired of yet another Asian media player, splashed out to the pond? have no worries, we’ll make it short. Basically, we have one Chinese company, Newsmy, which used to be Newman, a new PMP device carrying the most bizarre name A11HD, a 4.3-inch 480 x 272 display, supporting 720p video files (via TV output), 16GB of internal flash storage, wide range of formats support and 64 games, coming bundled out of the box. Price stands exactly at $129.86, purchase is at your own discretion.

RAmos are best known for their PMP devices, but the Chinese company seems to be reaching these days some more mainstream machines, with the official Android-based W7 MID announcement, which unveils a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen, powered by a strong ARM9 chipset platform and a 600MHz Rockchip RK2808 architecture that technically decodes any common 720p videos in a swift. Besides that, you get a full fledged Android OS to handle RAmos’ system smoothly, while specs wise, you also receive a built-in wifi antenna paired with 3G WWAN connectivity and 8GB or 16GB storage capacities to choose from. Availability is yet to be determined, but prices have already been set to $190 and $234, respectively. Stay tuned.

Only reason we got our eyes on these players from Evergreen is the special design, featuring Chinese horoscope figures in each of the units, allowing you to choose between a monkey, a tiger, a boar, a bull, a chicken, a dragon, a horse, a mouse, a rabbit, a sheep, or a snake accordingly. Other than that, you get 2GB of storage and some fragile buttons at the back of the animal, to handle the entire system, which can play up to 5 hours of audio for less than $30.

It’s been a while, since we’ve last heard from the Chinese corporation Newman, but it seems they’ve been working hard to bring up their latest MP5 MANMAN-A2 player, to be available at the end of October for an undisclosure price. The player features a 3-inch LCD TFT display, an FM tuner, a microphone and either 4GB or 8GB flash-based capacities. You also get a TV output and wide codecs support, including MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, OGG, APE, FLAC, RM, RMVB, FLV, MPG, DAT, AVI, MP4, and WMV formats, squized into a slim 8.9mm body.

Onda has introduced its latest VX777 PMP, back in May, featuring a 3-inch touchscreen (400 x 240), WiFi capabilities, a microphone, a speaker, an FM tuner, 7 EQ, an E-book reader, a microSD slot, a TV output and storage capacity, ranged from 2GB up to 8GB. This iPod killer, which is about to make a debut next week, supports wide variety of codecs, including MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, RM / RMVB, AVI, FLV, ASF, MP4, MPG, MOV, WMA, WMV, 3GP, SWF, JPEG, BMP, GIF or PNG, and plays 30 hours of audio against 10 hours of video. Pre-order prices are standing at $89, $99 and $109 for the 2GB, 4GB and 8GB models respectivly, so if you are looking for an alternative touchscreen player, packed with tons of features and low prices, it might be the one. Chinese company Yoto has announced the release of the new M300 PMP, coming with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen (400 x 240) and compatible with Windows 2000 or Windows XP only (No support for Vista or OS X ?). The new multimedia player features, 5 EQ, an E-book reader, a built-in speaker, SD card expansion and USB2.0 interface. It plays wide variety of codecs, including MPEG4 AVI, DIVX, RM, XVID, RMVB, FLV, MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE, JPEG, BMP and GIF file formats. No information on price or availability, but we have ambiguous feelings about this one – touchscreen: we like, codecs support: we like, design: we like, OS support: we don’t like, Storage: we don’t like, Reliability: Not so sure, bottom line, we need more info to settle down.

Chinese company Boke introduces the new BK-818 MP3 player, that can play up to 100 hours of continuous playback and will cost you only $28.49. This small colorful player has a hard plastic body and a stainless steel frame. It features 4 lines OLED display, 1GB of memory, and FM tuner to listen to your favorite stations. In addition it supports basic codecs like MP3, WMA, WAV and TXT, so if you’re into a cheap device that can last a flight across the globe, the BK-818 might be the right solution.

We’re all familiar with the handwriting recognition function, coming with every PDA device as part of the UI. Well, now you can find something similar for jailbroken iphones, as a Chinese developer has created a cool application, called HWPen. Although it is just in beta version and not working smoothly, the new software can take over the standard keyboard and serve as a great alternative, both in Latin and Chinese. To install the HWPen, just goto Installer.app -> Sources -> click on “Edit” and “Add” a new source: http://iphonecake.com/src/new. Then refresh your sources and look for HWPen in the iPhoneCake packages category. Finally, Install the application and restart the iPhone – and Voila !

Egoman unveils the new MP810RSTD-43 PMP, coming with a 4.3-inch touchscreen – 16.7M colors (480 x 272), 8GB of internal flash storage, a built-in equalizer, TV output, USB 2.0 connection and a G-sensor support, to easily switch between tracks and applications(?). It is compatible with RMVB, MP3, WMA, WAV, APC, FLAC, JPG, BMP, GIF file formats and plays FM tuner melodies, as measures stand at 80 x 40 x 7.2mm. No word on price or availability but you should carefully pay attention to the product page stating “[all] specifications are subject to change without notice,” which is pretty lame.

Chinese corporation, KNC has announced the release of the new M-700 PMP, coming with a Swiss-RK2706 400Mhz chip, an FM tuner, 10 EQ, a built-in microphone and USB2.0 connection. The 2.6-inch widescreen device houses 4GB internal flash memory and supports video formats including RM, RMVB, FLV, AVI, DivX, XviD, audio formats as APE, FLAC lossles, WMA, MP3 and even Microsoft PLAYFX sound effects. The M-700 is set to be released in May for a nondisclosure price.

It seems the Chinese have decided to jam their PMPs with every possible technology, available on earth. This new Oppo S11 media player squeezes inside lots of features, including an FM tuner, SD expansion slot, voice recording function, a clock, a stopwatch, games, and USB2.0 connection. The 3-inch touchscreen (480×272) device houses 4GB internal flash memory and runs tons of multimedia formats including MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, FLAC, APE, AVI, DIVX, RM, XVID, RMVB, FLV, JPG, GIF, and BMP. Measures are 95 × 58 × 9.9mm and battery life is good for 17 hours of audio. Price should be around $140 and color is black solely.

GTC, a Chinese corporation, has just unveiled a new PMP with a 3.5-inch LCD TFT display (320 × 240). The G850 features 2GB or 4GB storage size, AV output, miniSD slot and USB 2.0 plug. The device supports RMVB, AVI, MPEG, MPG and DAT video, MP3, WMA audio, JPEG and TXT. Price stands on 120$ for the 2GB model, so i guess your money won’t fly away this time.

The Chinese corporation, Newman, storms the market with plenty of new media players. Two of the latest are the Momo X2 and Momo X5 which remind us the Meizu M6 and M3 players.
