Fujitsu 10.1-inch MH380 Netbook Joins The Pine Trail Marsh

December 22nd, 2009 No comments

“All roads lead to Rome” says the sentence – in our case they lead to Vegas, where the CES show is about to start in few weeks from now. But before we get there, here’s another Pine Trail contender, this time from Japanese corp Fujitsu that officially announces the Atom N450-based MH380 netbook, which was approved by the FCC a month ago and suppose to include a 10.1-inch 1366×768 screen, along 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, 1.3MP webcam and a 6-cell battery, claimed to provide up to 7.5 hours of work time. Besides that, this beautiful machine, combined of Brown, Ivory White and Black Diamond flavors, boasts an integrated scroll wheel nob which seats on top of the keyboard surface, few inches from that usual trackpad floor. Regretfully, we’re still lack of info how this new motion scrolling dot will actually affect the price, but with a Windows 7 Starter edition already preloaded onboard, it’s surely going to cost a lot.

Update: Netbooked now updates that Fujitsu’s MH380 will run for $449 and will go live “somewhere next month” (remember that?). In any case, official announcement is half past the break.

Fujitsu’s Modish Loox M Netbook Wants To Be Big In Japan (Update: Now M2010 Worldwide)

April 21st, 2009 No comments

Another day, another netbook and yet again, the same usual specs we’ve all been singing back and forth, this time to the chorus of Fujitsu’s LooX M Atom device that includes a 1.6GHz N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, three USB 2.0 ports, multi-card reader and a webcam, hiding somewhere at the top. In terms of design however, the new Loox M is equipped with a breath of fresh air, coated in Red or White flavors, featuring sort of “infinite” mark and an expropriated price which stands at ¥59,800 ($611) in Japan.

Update1: Turns out Fujitsu just got official with the LooX M in some other parts of the world, this time branded as M2010, which packs the same specs we’ve already noted above, but with some new surprising goodies bundled inside, like wireless mouse and a DVD burner (probably external), that make this deal more attractive than ever.

Update2: Apparently, Fujitsu’s M2010 netbook edition is finally available Stateside, with a 3-cell battery (6-cell optional for extra $129), and a $450 price tag. Other than that, you get pretty much the same usual specs, which makes the M2010 a little pricey. You can find it in here.

Fujitsu Japan Introduces The Loox U 5.6″ UMPC

December 16th, 2008 No comments

Japanese corporation Fujitsu has announced the release of two Loox U ultra portable laptops, carrying a WXVGA 5.6-inch 1280 × 800 display and XP Home Edition onboard. Both U/C40 and U/C30 models pack 1GB of RAM, 60GB/120GB HDD storage, a 1.3MP webcam, an SD slot, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and even an FM tuner. The only difference between the two is within the processors, while the Loox C30 houses an Intel Atom Z520 (1.33GHz), its sibling, the Loox C40 is powered by an Atom Z530 (1.60GHZ). Despite the minuscule sizes (weight 565g), the battery will be able to provide up to 5 hours of work and the swiveling screen looks awesome. Unfortunately, our premature felicity turned down when the airy prices popped up, standing at 740€ ($1014) and 820€ ($1124), respectively.

Update: April 28 – Looks like Fujitsu has tossed in Intel’s Atom Z550 (2GHz) into the pack and called it FMV LU C50N UMPC, which is literally the Japanese version to the aforementioned UMPC. Besides the stronger processor, you also get a 5.6-inch 1280 x 800 touchscreen and the usual stuff you’ve already seen before.

Fujitsu Introduces a 2.5″ Laptop Drive With 500GB Storage Size

February 25th, 2008 No comments

Storage capacity is the name of the game in the extensive world of multimedia and global data. When movies, songs and tons of pictures are choking our laptops’ drive, we want more. To comply with our growing needs, Fujitsu has created the MHZ2 BT, a new hard drive with half terabyte storage size, that’s 500GB in a 2.5-inch HDD and a 12.5mm height. Mind you, it is not the ordinary size and I’m not sure it will fit your notebook, but it is a positive mark for us. Price details are not available but you should be able to buy one around May.
