PlayStation3 “Movies Package” is heading to Europe, bundled with three blue-ray titles, including Casino Royale, 300, and Spider Man 3. The box is expected to go live on March 19th, along with a 40GB PS3, for the old fixed €399. For those of you who can hold their breath and wait until March 29th, Sony is prepping a Gran Turismo 5 Prologue package, for the same price. Either way, i like both packs and look forward to snap one. Mind you, the bundles do not include HD cables, so this one is on your expenses.

Not long ago, we’ve reported that Microsoft is developing new games for Zune players, via XNA Studio 3.0. Now, you have a chance to cast a glance on the flash version for Zauri. This spacecraft combat game demonstrates the flawless Zunepad usage, enabling smooth and pleasant gaming experience. As mentioned earlier, this is just the beginning and we should look up patiently, for more titles to come around summer time.

Sony wants to turn the games purchase into an easy and approachable experience. The company has officially announced they are developing a wireless store for the PSP consoles, during the GDC conference. The store is expected to be similar to the wireless iTunes, located on iPhone and iPod Touch. Unfortunately, Sony has dropped the availability details, so i guess we all have to wait impatiently for any future announcements.

Recently, we have spotted some new Nintendo DS colors, hitting the market, but this one has stricken us with its modish elegant matte black exterior and shellac white interior. This rare DS Lite version is a result of an alliance between the highly esteemed designer, Hiroshi Fujiwara, and Japanese fashion magazine, Honeybee. Unfortunately, it is very very limited and located in Japan only, so you can pray to have one but the odds are really faint.

Microsoft inflames the masses, announcing games for Zune players, threw XNA Studio 3.0. Although it is just an early announcement and most details are concealed, we know the games will be designed for both first and second Zune generation, with stress on trackpad capabilities in second-gen models. Zune owners will be able to play with their friends wirelessly, PSP style, though there are no plans for game sharing. XNA platform provides 2D graphics so don’t expect running Doom 3 or GTA IV on your Zune, but releasing a development kit might broaden the number of titles to offer. More details to be provided in Spring 2008.

Korean company, MyRacer, introduced their latest portable gaming device, equipped with a 2.4-inch (320 x 240) display and a media player. Personally, i don’t think Sony has to be fearful for its PSP gaming consoles, but the MF101 does support AVI, MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG and BMP. Additionally, it has 1GB internal flash memory, expandable SD slot and 2 keypads on both sides. The MF101 sports a flash interface and supports Adobe Flash-based games. The device is available in S.Korea for 104$.

This mysterious teaser snappily appeared on PS3 official site for a very short time, alluding messaging capabilities support for the game console. If this info is real, and we assume it is, PS3 users finally get voice and video chat services, allowing them to connect with their friends whenever they pop up online or during a game. The sneaky image reads “Talk to others during game play, say hello anytime you’re online, or have a video chat with an Eye camera; USB Camera or headset.” Hopefully, Sony is going to embed the messaging services in the next firmware update, so here’s a very good reason to anticipate the next version.

No doubt, Sony has big plans for its PSP game console. Turns out the company develops a new PSP-style phone, trying to play in the mobile court, as we read in Sony Magazine. So far, these are just speculations and Sony has denied any development of a PSP-based gaming cellphone, but we have learned that Sony is a fond of “hidden-exposed” sales promotions, as we flutter back to the day the PSP-Skype was initially unveiled. Don’t get us wrong, we like to play with the idea of a mobile gaming device with cellular capabilities, but this time we should take the word of Sony Ericsson’s VP, Merran Wrigley, for not believing his company “would be able to create a phone worthy of the PlayStation brand”.

Rockstar launches a new promotional site for the most awaited GTA IV, making us impatient, as the game is expected to be released on April 29th. The site features a map of Liberty City with 9 hotspots and aplenty of screenshots and videos, teasing us with the expected to come. I guess the next 2.5 months are going to last forever.

Microsoft published the official price for the latest Xbox 360 HD DVD drive, so you can snatch one for 129.99$ though it is a  manufacturer’s suggested retail price only. Therefor, you might find it cheaper on the shelves, but i’m not sure it will hit big time in view of  the HD DVD gloomy situation.
