Apple Is Expecting Sales Decrease - Reducing iPod Production
Reports on a tangible recession coming up to the US markets, due to subprime mortgage crisis, brings Apple to consider the reduction of iPod production during 2008. According to Bank Of America, the Cupertino company asked its suppliers to decrease the players manufacturing after anticipating substantial deceleration in sales. According to the bank, Apple is expected to cut up to 20% of the iPod production compared to the beginning of January and 30% compared to December. iPhone production might get damaged as well.
