Pioneer XM XMp3 PMP Pops Up In The Wild, Can Play Sattelite Radio And Audio Music
This new XM XMP3 Sattelite radio PMP from Pioneer, showed up on Best Buy’s website for couple of seconds and immediately vanished for some reason. Naturally, it has a built-in XM sattelite radio with up to 170 channels that you can access for a flat monthly fee of $12.95. In addition, you can play any MP3 / WMA files, stored on any microSD card with 8GB capacity at most. You can also record 100 hours of XM Radio on five different channels simultaneously, and schedule them as you want. The package contains a home dock, home antenna, a remote control and cables that will be available in about 2 weeks, for $279.99.

Slacker Portable Internet Radio Player Goes Live
To those of you who haven’t heard about Slacker, we are talking about an internet radio service that hosts hundreds of radio stations. Slacker announced the release of a portable internet radio player, back in January 2008 at the CES show and now it goes live and getting shipped to retailers. The new Slacker player comes with three 4-inch screen models:
- 2GB - stores 15 stations and free 500MB for your personal media - 200$.
- 4GB - stores 25 stations and free 1.5GB for your personal media - 250$.
- 8GB - stores 40 stations and free 4GB for your personal media - 300$.
The stations are loaded to the player threw your USB-PC sync or threw wireless hotspots, via the WiFi connection. Each station is presumably loading 100 songs to the player and it seems they are doing a good job in learning your music taste, Pandora style. A satellite car dock is expected to be released in the near future.

Samsung Yepp P2 WiFi Extension
Samsung created a new cradle extension to its Yepp P2 player, in order to expand the usability and attract more users to buy it, with the growing competition of the all-in-one media devices. The new cradle connects to the bottom of the player and equipped with WiFi connection, MicroSD slot, FM transmitter and a speaker. The Yepp P2 comes with 2GB & 4GB storage capacities.
