TG Sambo Introduces The LLUON Mobbit MID In Korea
Korean company TG (Trigem) unveils its latest LLUON Mobbit PS400 MID device, scheduled to be released somewhere in January 2009 for 600,000 won ($405). The new LLUON packs an Intel Atom Z520 processor, together with a 4.8-inch 1,024 x 600 touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, 2MP camera, T-DMB tuner, WiFi / WiMax (WiBro) connectivity and either 16GB SSD drive or 30GB HDD storage to choose from. The good news are those impressive specs, provided inside the machine, carrying a reasonable price tag which sets a new line that resembles the netbooks family. The “bad” ones - we have no clue either this advanced UMPC is going to land Stateside at all. Meanwhile, checkout the specs after the break.

UMID To Introduce a New 4.8″ Mini Netbook
Korean company UMID has introduced a new miniscule netbook, equipped with a 4.8-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen, Intel Atom 1.1Ghz/1.33GHz processors, 512BMB/1GB of RAM, 1.3MP camera, and a microSDHC slot inside. As for connectivity, the new device packs all the latest technologies, including WiBro, WiMAX, HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0, while storage is ranged between 8GB up to 32GB SSD. You get a chance to choose either Windows XP/Vista or Linux system and don’t forget the DMB / DVB-T tuner, also included within this 315g machine. Still, no word on price or availability, but Korean visitors will probably get it first.

Lenovo IdeaPad U8 MID Goes Live at The Olympics
The new Lenovo IdeaPad U8 MID makes a debut right on time, as the Beijing Olympic games take place these days and new world records are getting smashed. Official specs include a 4.8-inch touchscreen, Intel Atom Z500 800MHz processor, GPS navigation system, front/rear cameras, 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, EDGE, 3G and even Wimax support (wow!). In addition it has 1GB of RAM, 6GB flash storage and a place for a dongle, to receive China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting signals, in order to watch the Olympics for free, if you happened to be in China, all for the size of 21 x 173 x 84mm and 350 grams. No word on price, but you should expect a smartphone costing, so start saving.
Update: Price is set to be around $730 (4,999 yuan) which is not that cheap, considering you can get a laptop, but sometimes you have to pay for light portability.

The PV will support DVB-H/MediaFLO broadcasting and TDtv/WiMAX streaming. The 6.4 x 1.8 x 4-cm block is expected to go live at the end of the year and i have the feeling it might change some of our TV watching spots.
